The 6th Graders of South Hutchinson Elementary School are pleased to present to you The Princess and the Pea musical.
Showing this Thursday at Nickerson High School at 7:00 PM.
See you there!

Kansas State Statute 72-6251 requires all students enrolled in Kansas schools to receive a free dental screening each year. In compliance with this requirement, GraceMed will be providing dental screenings for our district.
🪥 Why it matters:
Oral health is an important part of a child’s overall health and plays a critical role in their ability to learn and succeed in school. (Please note that this screening does not replace a regular dental exam with your dentist.)
📄 Consent Information:
• Paper consent forms will be sent home with all students in PreK–8th grade
• High school students wishing to receive extended services must complete the online consent form (link below)
• Passive consent is implied unless the school nurse is contacted
• If you wish to opt out, please complete the back side of the paper form or contact D’ana Heinlein, USD 309 District Nurse
📝 What to expect:
• A copy of the screening results will be sent home with your child
• Screenings require no sign-up
• Families may choose to sign up for expanded care (cleanings, fluoride varnish, sealants) using the online form
• A report will be sent home for any expanded services received
📅 GraceMed Dental Day Schedule:
• South Hutch Elementary – Monday, January 26, 2026
• Nickerson Elementary (Nickerson High students will be transported to NES) – Tuesday, January 27, 2026
• Reno Valley Middle School – Wednesday, January 28, 2026

Thank you for helping us support the health and success of our students! 💙

Don't forget: Friday is early dismissal and we will dismiss at 12:40!

We want all of our students to arrive safe and supervised each morning!
As noted in our student handbook:
“Students should not arrive at school before 7:40 a.m., when the front doors will be unlocked.”
We cannot provide supervision before 7:40, so please ensure your child does not arrive early. Your partnership helps us keep every student safe and start the day smoothly!
Thank you for your support!

We want to formally introduce one of the platforms we have begun using within the district, How's School Going. With the app and/or website you will be able to stay up to date on your child's attendance, grades, assessment scores, and so much more in one place! Your students will also be learning to use this platform to create their learner launchpad and track their own academic journey! You will not need to create an account or remember another password. If your email is entered in PowerSchool with data access for your student(s), an account has been created for you and all have have to do is use the correct log in option (preview in attached picture) depending on your specific email. If you are unable to log in, please reach out to the school.

Rooms - School Messaging System
We are in the process of rolling out our district communication system which has been added to our district mobile app. Teachers will be using Rooms to communicate with parents/guardians and possibly more within platform, so please log in and familiarize yourself with it. The USD 309 app is available in both Apple and Google application stores (links provided below) and is a quick way to access Rooms. To log into Rooms, you will need to use the email or phone number you have entered in PowerSchool and follow the steps on the attached image. If you are having any trouble, please let the school know and we will do our best to help you out! Thank you for being patient during this roll out!
